Looking for a little bass to spice your Christmas up? There are plenty of Christmas-inspired hip hop albums and Christmas rap songs, but let’s be honest: most of them aren’t worth listening to. We know, because we listened to literally all of them while building this list.
It wasn’t easy, but we sifted through it all, good and bad, to bring you the Christmas hip hop that you can actually enjoy and also get a legit Christmas vibe from. Our list includes over four hours of bumpin’ Christmas tunes spanning close to four decades of hip hop music, making it the most comprehensive list online.

Table of Contents
Christmas Rap & Hip Hop Worth Listening To
On the list we’ve got seven whole albums and nineteen songs to fill your Christmas with the sounds of quality hip hop. Artists include Kanye West, Chance the Rapper, Wyclef Jean, Gucci Mane, RUN-DMC, DRAM, and others. Enjoy – and Merry Christmas to all you filthy hip hop heads.
Update: Your wish is our command! We had a few requests to compile all this music into a master playlist, so here ya go! (sadly we had to leave out a few of the older jams on this list that aren’t on Spotify)
Quality Hip Hop Christmas Albums
#1HappyHoliday – DRAM
Big Baby DRAM’s Holiday album was short but 100% gold. If you don’t get any further on the article after this one, I don’t blame you – I had these three tracks on loop for an entire day when it first came out.
“Merry Christmas Lil Mama” – Chance the Rapper and Jeremih
Jeremih and Chance the Rapper’s Christmas mixtape is certified excellent. The mixtape dropped earlier this week and was preceded by the single “Merry Christmas Lil Mama” last year. The mixtape is mostly original work and features a harder delivery from Chance with a quicker flow and lower cadence. We’re big fans.
A Dipset Christmas – Jim Jones
Featuring some reworked Christmas classics and some original material, Jim Jones’ A Dipset Christmas is a legitimately good album – even outside of Christmas music standards. This album captures peak Jones, coming out on the heels of the album Hustler’s P.O.M.E. which featured the hit single “We Fly High”.
A Colt 45 Christmas – Afroman
For a more comedic, “no fucks” take on your favorite Christmas classics. Prepare to simultaneously laugh your ass off and feel like a complete degenerate.
Cee Lo’s Magic Moment – Cee Lo Green
Anything Cee Lo Green does, he does 100%. That includes his 2014 Christmas album, Cee Lo’s Magic Moment. Be sure to check out his rendition of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” with Christina Aguilera.
Gift Rap – The Cross Movement
Early 2000’s rap takes on the holidays, with plenty of variety on collaborating artists and some great flows. This album is underestimated, underappreciated, and great for getting under the influence.
8 Days of Christmas – Destiny’s Child
Okay, this one isn’t technically “hip hop” but this soulful, r&b heavy Christmas album from Beyonce’s Destiny’s Child is too good to keep under wraps. You haven’t really lived until you hear Bey do “Silent Night”.
